What do you mean not enough time? It counted the liters up to 19, then reset back to 0 at midnight… How would time change this if it resets every day at midnight?
My man, please trust what I’m saying. Wait until you have more than 1 days worth of data before you cry “It doesn’t work”, it’s been 14 hours with 1 day reset. There’s not enough time for it to have anything more than todays data. Yesterdays data is partially missing, it likely starts at a high number and ends at a slightly higher number. Making the total so far equal to slightly higher number - high number + todays data
. Making it appear like it only has todays data.
So please, wait until you have collected more than 1 days worth of data.
Keep in mind, you will only get the data from a statistics card or statistics graph card. You will not get the data from the daily sensors, because they are daily sensors.
So I gave it time and it clearly still doesn’t work. It counted up for some time and now it has been stuck on 153liters for days. Probably it stopped counting after 10 days of data? Anyway…
If I put the option from “this year” to “this month”, it reads 83liters. If I put it to “last month” it reads 153 liters. And “this year” also reads 153 liters… not sure what kind of math it is using to get to that
And if I check all data I have on this sensor since it started logging 14 days ago, it’s clear that it’s well over 153 liters by now…
According to chatGPT, the state class of the defined sensors are wrong, but this is against what I’ve been told here. So I can try but I lost a bit the confidence that this will work:
Chat gpt is wrong.
Anyways, if you look at your graph, it’s summing this properly except for year.
Guesing on the numbers from november I get
20 + 25 + 24 + 8 + 11 + 12 + 12 + 7 + 12 + 20 = 151. So last month being 153 makes sense because my guesses may not be the actual value.
Guessing on the numbers in the graph for this month:
17 + 12 + 17 + 18 + 16 = 80. So this month being 83 makes sense because my guesses may not be the actual value.
What’s likely happening for the yearly summation is that it’s’ waiting for the full month of december before adding it to the yearly value.
I.e. this is working as expected.
