WTH are there no sensors for automation related to backups?
Because backups are in the domain of the Hassio supervisor it is difficult within Home Assistant to determine when the last backup of Home Assistant data completed successfully.
This would be useful to:
nag/notify if backups haven’t been done recently.
Provide notification that the current backup is completed.
trigger actions such as saving copies of backups off host to recovery from failures
