LG WebOS TV issue in HA 2021.1.4

Hi all,

I just upgraded to HA 2021.1.4 and I am experiencing an issue with my LG OLED TV which worked just fine until yesterday.

I have HA installed on a rpi4 4GB and I am using a 32GB SDCard.

docker true
virtualenv false
python_version 3.8.7

Until yesterday, I was able to turn on / off my TV and select all the sources available (Netflix, Youtube, Plex, HDMI, Spotify etc. etc.)

After the update, I noticed that my sources list randomly disappear, except the physical ones (for example, HDMI4 which is where my playstation is connected it is always on the source list).

All the other sources like Netflix, Youtube, Plex etc. randomly disappear. Sometimes when I turn off and on the TV, some other times when I select one source (for example: Netflix) all the other disappears.

This is my WebOS TV integration in my configuration.yaml

I never experienced this issue before, so I would like some help on how to track down the cause of this and solve it.

Can someone please help me?

Thank you in advance

Unfortunately I’m not able to offer any solutions, but I too am having issues with the WebOS TV integration as of late (I’m currently on 2021.1.5). I don’t use the Button/Command functions, but my devices seem to be having issues consistently updating their status to HA and receiving/displaying notification messages after the last couple of security updates (I can’t say for sure which version introduced the issues).

My LG TV won’t eve register as ‘ON’ in home assistant. I don’t know what else to do. The TV is connected and I can ping it on the same IP as when it worked. Stopped working just a few days ago.

Update from my LG TV not showing up as ‘ON’ in home assistant. I upgraded just now to 2021.2.0 and It’s back. Nothing in the release notes stating a change in the integration or anything. And I definitely tried restarting HA to fix the issue with my TV without success. But it’s good now, so I’m happy.

Just updated to 2021.2.1. The issue persist.

Here’s the thread on GitHub with people having the same exact issue:

Hi,

I’m uber new to this so forgive me if this doesnt work but i was having the same issues after connecting my LG tv to Home Assisstant running on a pi 4 via the integration in the CONFIG FILE.

I removed all content below the sources: line, saved config and then restarted and since then i’ve had a HUGE list of sources appear - it’s almost as if it doesnt like being told to list sources and needs to detect everything or nothing.

I hope this helps,
