What thermostat model do you have? I have the Daikin One+ thing with the big wheel, so they’ve been updating it still. I actually didn’t realize until recently though that Daikin, Goodman and Amana are all the same company, which is why the protocol is the same.
Also, do you remember how that RedLink gateway thing was installed? Are the thermostat and the RedLink both connected to wifi or something? Or is it wired into the ClimateTalk bus? If it is part of the bus, I’m very curious as to how it works, because my thermostat just doesn’t seem to be capable of something like that.
I’ve been considering looking into making my own thermostat at this point… If anyone wants to pay me to do it faster, let me know
