Looking for inspiration to implement presence detection

Right now i use the GPSlogger integration which works flawlessly.

But i would like to implement presence detection without the need to carry my smartphone around with me all the time.
Ideally i could just add a token on my keychain and when i enter the house this token gets recognized.
Is there a way? Please enlighten me.

Sure, a Bluetooth beacon and monitor will do that, take your pick of BT tokens.

You will want to add a sensor to the front door to trigger the arrive/depart scans though, and optionally wrap that with some automation logic.
