Hello Atomic77
Do you know whether the Google fix is integrated to HA by 0.93.1.
Are you still developing your awesome card? E.g. integrating it in the new HACS ( the new custom-updater)
I just tested max_results in HA 93.2 and it is working. You just have to make sure that max_results is set in google_calendars.yaml for the calendar you want and of course reboot. Pulled up 25 results without a problem.
Regarding the “new custom-updater”, is this a different custom updater than the one here? :
I ask because this one I linked works already with Atomic77’s calendar card.
Thank you. Yes it works now.
There is a new custom_updater. Try to look at
Loving this card… I have 2 requests:
- Is it possible to show only the start time for an event. I’m trying to minimize the total spacing the card takes and would ideally like to show the start time and event name on the same line.
- Is there a way to set a max height for the card, then have the extra events/days scrollable?
Anyone know what the day of the week is getting its color from? As in the Su Mo Tu days of the week.
I’m using a dark theme and have managed to change everything to be readable except for the days of the week.
Thanks
Hi. Just wondering if theres a way to completely hide completed events? i.e. if the event time has passed then hide it. Thanks!
I am setting this up with CalDav and I am getting this result: the card correctly loads the calendar and pulls the date, but I just can’t get the event name to show up. Any idea of what could be causing this?
In the image I created two different events, one for a set time, the other full day.
Hi, I’m having the same issue where the event title is not reported correctly. What other calendar card are you using? I’ve tested a couple with little success…
Brilliant work !
How can I control the frequency with which the card checks for updates of my calendars ? Currently it seems it only refreshes at first load of the page…?
Has anyone had problems with the times showing up on black backgrounds? I can’t seem to get the color to change. Maybe being overwritten by the theme? I’ve tried
timeColor: 'rgb(255, 255, 255)'
(and other color codes)
and
timeColor: white
I’m using the “slate” theme and my times just use the HA header color and they show up fine.
Here is my config:
- type: "custom:atomic-calendar"
title: "Calendar"
showProgressBar: false
showCurrentEventLine: false
maxDaysToShow: 14
dayWrapperLineColor: white
titleSize: 110
#timeFormat:
showMonth: true
locationIconColor: '#f44242'
locationlinkColor: '#B58E31'
entities:
and the result:
Do you use the month calendar with that theme?
I posted about ten posts ago about days of the week not showing up on a dark theme, but seems like most people don’t use themes.
Which “month calendar” are you referring to?
Thanks. Although I didn’t go with exactly what you proposed, the example you provided led me down another path that worked for me.
Sorry I mean the one that looks like a wall calendar.
You can see my problem in this screengrab…days of the week are hard to read.
I just tried it with a very basic config:
- type: "custom:atomic-calendar"
title: "Calendar"
enableModeChange: true
defaultMode: 2
entities:
- calendar.XXXXXXXXgmailcom
and this is the result:
so I’m not sure where your problem could lie.
Do you have any other places in your theme that has that same black color as a color selection that the text there might be pulling the color from?
Eager to test the blacklist functionality suddenly appearing in your repo, I get this after downloading the latest version:
I’m sorry, I sent the wrong version by mistake. I hope the new version 0.8.1 works, but it’s just a small fix and still have some problems.
I check it on several devices and HA installations, but I can never be sure it’s good for anyone else.
If it’s not working, please stay with 0.7.5.
0.8.1 is compatible with HACS (but not in store yet, you have to add it in settings). The file name had to be changed, now it’s atomic_calendar.js (with the underscore).
I’m still working on it and I’m going to stop (I use the calendar too), just don’t have much time last months.
If the message above (the callendar can’t be loaded…) shows, please send me console log (F12 -> console)
As for getting the “calendar can’t be loaded”, I got that fixed by removing all configured calendars in any lovelace yaml view, and then putting them back in.
I don’t get the blacklist functionality to work. I’ve tried different variations of configuring the calendar, but I can’t get events named what I’ve blacklisted to go away:
- type: "custom:atomic-calendar"
title: "Calendar"
entities:
- entity: calendar.mykid
blacklist: 'Frokost'
