Magic Home LED Strips stop working when turn off

I purchased a few LED Strips that work fine with Google Home - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113422167339.

However, I’m having problems with HA. They only work if I disconnect them from the power and reconnect - and then if I turn them off via HA I have to power cycle them to get them to work again with HA. With Google Home I don’t have this problem.

Any idea how to fix as they are a great price and I want to buy some more. Thanks in advance for any help.

looks like other users having the same problem as me here Flux_led (aka MagicLight) BROKEN in latest release
