Thanks for this. I haven’t used homebridge in a while and now that I’m using proxmox this was a cinch, esp. with tteck’s scripts. Deleted by samsung acct and won’t look back.
Holy crap this is great! Thank you I have been waiting for the direct integration to come back online and this allowed me to get things working again without it!
i had the integration installed and i saw a thread somewhere (can’t find it) that said to edit a file to keep it running. I did it and have been running it for months without issue, without any dependency on smartthings or homekit. so if you can find the link and are willing to make local file changes you can get this working again
I saw a pull on GitHub that they are bringing back the Integration.
Any update on this? Not in the Aug beta 0.
Looks like it is close, but not there yet. Here is the pull request:
Re-add aladdin_connect integration by JamieMagee · Pull Request #149029 · home-assistant/core
Thanks. I was hoping for the August release.
Looks like the new target date is prior to the 9/1/25 beta.
The integration has arrived. I installed it, logged in, and I can trigger the door to open/close. However, the position isn’t returned to HA, so it reports that it never moves even when it has. My Aladdin app reports position immediately, so I know the servers have the status correct. It’s just not returning the position to HA.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I noticed the same issue after installing the update.
It’s listed in the known issues for the integration here.
It looks like they already have the fix ready and the pull request is under review. Hopefully it will be in the next patch release. The 2025.9 announcement pages says “We will also release patch releases for Home Assistant 2025.9 in September. These patch releases only contain bug fixes. Our goal is to release a patch release once a week, aiming for Friday.” Hopefully the fix will be approved and ready for the 2025.9.2 release next week.
