Do you know the reasons behind removing group.app_plants from HA 1.0? Or are there any references to any discussions on this?

I do agree with the removal of all groups from the backend. I used it here to have the backend consolidate the plant states, there is no reason the template sensor could not loop through all the plant entities and check.

After the read, it does make sense. The only all_ group I use is plants, and even then I only have three (soon to be five) entities.

everything looks to be set up correctly the list of plants doesn’t get updated
Tried this script in 2022.12.7 and it does not update the list of plants. Did you figure out how to resolve this?
