Media Player Issue with Chromecast and YouTube Music

I recently moved everything from Google Play Music to YouTube Music as Google Play Music is going to be deprecated.

When casting to a chromecast audio from YouTube Music the controls in Home Assistant Media_Player do not work completely. Pause/Play functions correctly, Power functions correctly, Seek functions correctly, however Next/Previous song do not function.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround or has a bug been submitted?

Did you figure this out @nat_neels? I’ve been wondering the same thing.

I’ve tried the “custom:mini-media-player” also. Same problem there.

No unfortunately not. But my research tells me that Youtube Music doesn’t allow it.
Hopefully it will change in time. I gave up on it for now.

Is this issue still current? I’m experiencing this and I was wondering if anything changed in the meantime…
