microWakeWord - Am I stupid?

In the Voice Chapter 7 livestream a number of new features were discussed. Timers were one - and I have these.

microWakeWord on an m5stack atom echo was also discussed.

Am I being stupid - I can’t see how to set this up. If so, is there a guide on how to do this.

Or, is it not released yet?

Please advise.

I’m trying to do this now as well. Since I can’t find it, I assume it isn’t yet available?

Not released yet. Will be available in approx. 2 weeks.

According to Release 2024.7.0 · esphome/esphome · GitHub it’s out now. Time to test!

I’d suggest keeping an eye on the ready made projects from the ESPHome Firmware github: firmware/wake-word-voice-assistant/m5stack-atom-echo.yaml at a7db5f3dde6be30ebfd0ad2543a772a546433a45 · esphome/firmware · GitHub

I’d imagine it is on the teams long to do list to incorporate the microwakeword changes into the OOTB firmware.

You could obviously adapt the configuration yourself to play around with it.
