Well, at least there’s someone on here who knows less about CPU than I do.
I think that you may have misunderstood.
I’m asking for a recommendation for a low powered CPU that can be obtained at an affordable price because, I don’t have enough background knowledge to make an educated choice.
I’m asking for pretty much the opposite of copying\pasting an entire site. Just the model number would do.
Posting a link to the entire site is a little bit like you asking me for advice on piece of laboratory equipment and me handing you a copy of the periodic table on the grounds that the best way to choose which one to you need is to choose the elements that it’s made of.
I’m trying to ask a genuine question, this isn’t an appropriate thread for ranting.
Aha, another requirement.
The trouble is, your whole history of posting here is to expect other people to do your research, and to ignore what you are advised.
From the person who read the title but not the question, and asked a bunch of questions that had already been answered.
I didn’t ask you any questions.
Man, for a newbie, you seem determined to make a fool of yourself. You’ll end up with no one wanting to help if you carry on this way.
And this right here is why people will pay hundreds of dollars for a pre built solution that does a fraction of what the free open source version does.
I’ve never known a community as hostile to newcomers as an open source community.
For all it’s problems, when I walk into an Apple store, or a Samsung, store, or literally any other big brand store you care to mention, they millennial with the unironic piercings behind the counter will still smile politely at me and call me sir\ma’am, regardless of how stupid a question I ask.
If you have a useful contribution then please by all means make it.
If you just want to poke people to get a reaction out of them, then please stick to Twitter.
When you go to a store you are paying money for a service, here you are asking for other volunteers / community members to help you. In that case you need to be willing to put in some effort yourself.
In any case as was said previously, this is the home assistant community not the frigate community. I’d highly suggest coming over to the Frigate GitHub to create a discussion where you can list out your question / requirements and a suggestion can be made.
Nobody is being hostile to you. But stop accusing people of asking pointless questions when they haven’t asked you a question at all.
