The updated status isn’t displayed because that control is grayed out, but the real-time power consumption does update.
I was about to say that this seems different from my problem because mine is actually connected and getting status from sensors, but now it doesn’t seem to be anymore.
I’m having trouble finding the complete Z2M log. The “Log” tab in the add-ons UI only shows recent entries. Anybody have insight as to where to find the entire log?
Thanks. That seems to start in the middle, though.
I do see a log folder in the zigbee2mqtt folder, but everything in there is from last October.
Turns out it’s a known problem in MQTT. I found a partial backup from when I updated from Mosquitto Add-on 6.2.1, which contained the last working version of Mosquitto (2.0.15) and this fixed the issues.
FYI there’s now an add-on update available that updates mosquitto to 2.0.18.
Is that supposed to address this? The issue is still open in github.
Yes, see the release notes:
The missing -r flag (retained) was the issue causing the home assistant discovery to fail.
Sounds like it’s not actually fixed.
