Nice work! I wonder what network it would default to if factory reset and if there’s a way to change it. Must be an api which the app uses to do it, wish I had the skills to reverse engineer it, ah well
I finally got this working! Is there any possibility to set the target temperature? I see it as a read only sensor in HA.
I have the exact same error. How did you did you get it changed? Where do I need to edit the update installation script in HA? Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi both, there is both sensor and an input number for the target temperature, you should be able to set the target by changing “number.appkettle_kettle_target_temperature”
Nope, I only have sensor.appkettle_kettle_target_temperature , not number.appkettle_kettle_target_temperature
What version are you running? Should be 1.0.4, change from sensor to number happened in 1.0.3
Im getting a error when trying to install the addon.
The command ‘/bin/ash -o pipefail -c pip install paho.mqtt pycryptodomex’ returned a non-zero code: 1
Tried restarting ha but no luck.
Hi all,
Complete newbie here, just stumbled upon this post from Google trying to fix the app kettle.
No idea how HA works, anyone have a good tutorial on how to set it up & what I may need? I’ll give this an attempt afterwards.
Edit: Just saw the Home Assistant Resources page which I’ll look into. Any other suggestions welcome
Don’t suppose you remember how / where you did this - I get the same error… thanks
Hi mate, I’ve just implemented the changes @CrazyDrZenith posted, you should see a version 1.0.5 available now. I’ve upgraded my installation no problem, please give it a go.
@MavicPilot looks like you were impacted too?
Perfect, works now and kettle connected
Thanks!
Great! Thanks for letting me know, glad you’re up and running
