  • No way to use both together!!! It will never work, once HASSIO does not permit that setup Addon!

create your own addon that sends what comes in from the gateway (can be given free for every addon)
to MQTT and listen in HA to MQTT.

its not an easy task, but it can be done.

but it means that you do exactly what you stepped away from:
maintain a docker (addon)

Finally, I decided adding an arduino nano inside my transformed router box, keeping Leds setup and plug them from outsideā€¦

Can you tell me hassio is the right way by now???
Will I loose something more important now or in the future?
Are you using hassio @ReneTode?

i never used hassio and i never will.

i use homeassistant in VENV. and havent upgraded for 20 releases.

I seeā€¦ that was my way as welllā€¦ but since 10-20 releases, I lost some integrations such as TuyaSmart and I was forced to updateā€¦
Everything was going fine and now I need relearn many things!!!
