I ended up deleting and re-adding the integration and it worked had to do the process with 2nd screen app on phone/PS4 again also…
I believe I may have deleted the “Home Assistant” item from the PlayStations 2nd screen menu (On the console itself) also before re-doing
I’m having problems setting up the integration. My PS second screen app does not find HA even after refreshing the devices. HA eventually times out after having clicked the submit button for 2 min.
As additional info: the second screen app is connected to my PS4.
Anyone having the same problem or knowing what I am doing wrong?

Hi - for some reason recently media_player.turn_off turns ON my PS4. It’s sort of broken a lot of my automations - it’s turned into a toggle and therefore when my PS4 is off and Home Assistant marks me as “asleep” it turns on the previously turned off PS4 and wakes me up!!
Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Even calling media_player.turn_off from the developer option in HA and selecting the PS4 when it is already in standby causes it to turn on.
I’ve sort of worked around this odd behaviour now by adding a condition to my automation - i.e. {{ not is_state(“media_player.playstation_4”,“standby”) }} - at least it doesn’t turn it on again. Just a bit baffled as to why it’s decided to be a toggle recently.
I’ve got the same issue.
I have an automation on a fibaro s2 button, that turn off everything on that floor.
Only when my 2 ps4s are off the are turned on.
If they are on, they will be turned off, so it looks like it works like a toggle now 
Hope this is a bug(?), because it feels a bit unnecessary to make an automation only to check the state first.
The PS4 integration works for me after a restart of home assistant but suddenly stops working after some time. Can’t find a pattern there, pretty annoying. I cant send any commands from home assistant only states are shown.
The PS Second screen app has the same problem. All buttons, except ‘ps’, don’t work when you are on app screen. So, this is not integration issue, i think
I have the same problem. Is there any way to reconnect HA to PS?
I just tried to get mine to work for the first time this week and I’m not able to get it up and running. Running hass.io in a Windows 10 VM.
Is this integration broken? I was unable to turn on or turn off the PS4 through Home Assistant but it did show correctly one PS4 was on and it showed the media played correctly too. But cause I wasn’t able to turn on/off I tried to remove the integration and add it again but the home assistant is never shown in the Ps4 second screen app no matter how many times I try.

Is it possible to use this component to open the native PS4 browser? Long story short, I’m trying to have my PS4 show my Home Assistant dashboard. Everything with this component seems to be working normally, but the browser does not show up as a Source option in the UI like games do.
Any recommendations on this or another way of getting my dashboard on there would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the PS4 integration working succesfully multiple months in my HA and even created some automations for it.
However today I discovered that my HA is no longer able to communicate with my PS4.
I deleted the integration and tried to add it again.
However, I am stuck at the part in which I have to add HA in the second screen app.
I always receive a timeout error which prevents me from connecting my PS4 to HA
Does anyone has a solution?

Hi. Sounds like a networking issue. Have you made any networking changes recently? What type of HA install are you using?

I have the same problem - did you ever solved yours? I also have playsation on other vlan than homeassistant.
