Out of curiosity, what’s the brand of dishwasher? Its power consumption graph is eerily similar to my dishwasher.
KitchenAid KDTM604KPS. Odds are if it’s a Whirlpool, Jennair, Kitchenaid, or Maytag, it’ll have a similar power consumption graph, as they’re all under the Whirlpool umbrella of appliances. The cycle I’m running is a PowerWash cycle.
Yes, late-model Maytag here so it’s manufactured by Whirlpool (with the same major parts such as tub, motor, pump, heating element, etc and ostensibly the same programming for various washing modes).
FWIW, I haven’t characterized all the combinations yet but the ‘Quick’ mode plus ‘Short Heat’ is what we use most often and the duration of ‘Short Heat’ is even shorter than when used with ‘Auto’ mode. In other words, the seven final heating ‘pulses’, of around 550 watts each, are reduced to around three.
