I would like to add an inexpensive wireless rain gauge to home assistant. I already have rtl-sdr operational on a Raspberry Pi 1W feeding mqtt…which works with my acurite temp/humidity sensors as well as my Maverick BBQ thermometers. I don’t need anything fancy…just wireless rain gauge.
Acurite, LaCrosse, … Has anyone installed any of these through rtlsdr?
I have the acurite atlas, but if you are already using an acurite temp/humidity sensor, wouldn’t it be best to use an acurite rain sensor as it will already be compatible with your setup? its my understanding that all their products use the same frequency…
