Update for all:

Reversing back to ESPHOME 2025.4.x solved my ESPHOME, especially I2C issues with my NFC reader. It now works since two days reliably. There really seems to be an issue with the ESPHOME 2025.5.x version.

hello! I have just built myself a NFC from the parts and guidelines of thesmarthomejunkie. I am having issues with getting it to work, basically, his code wouldnā€™t work and I used original author YAML and modifed for the esp32 d1 mini. Okay, it doesnt work as expected =) Could you please help ? I too am running the latest ESPHome.
