Niko Hub / Easywave protocol 868mhz

Hello Everyone!

I’ve read some posts and looked for some info but I haven’t found the right answer…

Before I discover HA, we have installed at home Niko connected switches for ceiling spots but I haven’t bought yet the Niko Hub. I’ve seen that the Niko motion sensors work on Zigbee and they could be handled by the ZZH! USB for example, but the switches work on the 858mhz frequency with the Easywave protocol if I’m not wrong with this information…

The question is… Is worth to buy the hub for 155€ or there is a USB dongle cheaper as the ZZH! that would correctly work with the Niko hardware and by-pass the hub?

Thanks for your help!

Eldat has an USB stick that can send and receive Easywave signals.
I’ve created a Home Assistant addon for it.
See New add-on to add support for Easywave devices - Share your Projects! - Home Assistant Community (home-assistant.io) for more information, and a link to a website that sells the Eldat sticks.
