Hello again, I have marked your post as the solution, because today I received the 5V relay and it works like a charm on first attempt.

I know I want to do something like this as well, but mine has a status 5V led I would like to track the status on in addition to the switch. How do I go about tracking the LED status?

Isnt the switch status on the same as the LED at this point? Why do you need to track ir seperately? If you do turn on the switch, that switch will show up as on in HA.
