Not able to change entity names since 0.91

Since I updated to 0.91 I am not able to change entities within home assistant:

When is search the forum people are experiencing the same problem but no solution is given!

Hope someone can help me solving this.

Edit Friendly Name

The “gear icon” is no longer showing, preventing me from editing the “friendly name” of devices. Example: [image] I have upgraded to the most recent version of hassio (0.91.3, run on a nuc). In the log I get the following error message (not sure it’s related): Unable to load /config/known_devices.yaml: Config file not found: /config/known_devices.yaml

Known issue. Already fixed in code. Waiting for release. Use Configuration -> Entity Registry in the mean time.

I am not getting the error message but I am also running Home Assistant within VMware Workstation on my NUC and I am running 0.91.3.

there are 2 issues in the post @VDRainer posted, the first is about the cog missing

The second issue in that post (known_entities.yaml) is, really, a non-issue. HASS still works as expected when that error shows. I believe it’s also fixed in code already, but I’m not certain. Regardless, the work around for it is… do nothing at all, because everything still works just fine.
