none of my graphs use Logarithmic scale, I’m happy for me I’m not the only one but I guess it sucks for you

it seems after all that a reboot of the host actually helped.

I would suggest to open an issue in core anyway, this is an abnormal behaviour.
In fact, I myself observed many times issues with history, but they were mainly about “graphs became flatline” and it could only be fixed by a PC reboot.
