I do seem to be getting lots of these errors in the log.
This error originated from a custom integration.

This means that your Home Assistant instance cannot connect to the gateway. Not sure where the connectivity issue is, but this is not something that I can fix…
However, I should try to see if we at least can retry on this error.
@andyblac, just pushed a new version that should at least better handle/retry these errors. You will still see these errors though if it cannot connect multiple times.
I just finished the last parts I had on my todo and also achieved 100% code coverage for Config Flow. This means that it is now ready for review by core members. If there is not a lot of feedback, it might ship next version already.
Please test the latest version, and let me know if it is still working stable.
Is there also something changed to prevent the unavailable state of the box?
Not sure. I haven’t faced this issues myself, thus it is hard to debug. However, if it is just a temporary connectivity issue, it could be fixed now. It will retry all commands a few times at least, and not directly raise an error.
It occurs at random times. Today till now it happens 4 times that all devices are unavailable.
But how does it work? Is it that when the integration is not answering every x seconds, HA gives unavailable? Or is it the local API controller that doesn’t give an answer or gives unavailable back?
Every update the entitie sensors change there name’s now we are back to the original name’s.
Biggest problem is i have to update al my automations, and there are a lot, because i use the lightsensors not only for my sunscreens but also for my lights.
I hope this is the last time because we are close to the big release
Do you also have entries in your history of covers that they are unavailable at certain times?
Please all try the latest version.
Is this with the latest version?
Nope all stabil and available the last 24h. only during the update of the software what is logical. Is it posibell to see if they are losing connection with the hub or if it’s a software isseu between your bridge and HA.
@imick I have just updated the local test version. So I will keep you informed about the issue if it is solved.
@marcje1968 what I mean is the history of a cover in Home Assistant:
Here you see the messages that the cover is unavailable at some times.
Ofcourse it could be my network, but on the same switch there is connected the Hue bridge and I don’t see unavailable messages of my hue lights.(My Tahoma Switch is connected with ethernet)
I know what you mean that’s in HA. The screenshot i sent was from the somfy hub. The connection from my hub to ha is stable so i have no unavilibel messages ( leuk allebei nederlands en maar engels lopen typen)
@imick i have just got the first unavailable message of my somfy devices since the latest version of the local api test version is installed.
Can you turn on debug mode? I wonder if there is anything in your log when it is unavailable.
Maybe it is my network if there is nobody else that has this messages?
Maybe i have to place it temporally on the same switch as Home Assistant.
What do you run Home Assistant on? The “Failed to connect.” error you see is caused by a ClientConnectorError
in the underlying aiohttp library.
Home Assistant is running on a raspberry pi 4 8 gb
i’m seeing these too, since updating to latest PR.
This error originated from a custom integration.
