Leaving my comment for people who might be confused with the set up like I was.
You need to log in first using your local network IP address (not your remote access hostname) then set your remote access hostname (ie. homeassistant.duckdns.org) in the “Hub” settings menu.
Receiving a similar issue when trying to connect to HA. I have HAOS running through a Cloudflare tunnel because my ISP has us on CGNAT.
Checking the logs shows:
Login attempt or request with invalid authentication from (insert IP address here). Requested URL: '/auth/login_flow/540d90a17256c0294b8eafdaecea7afb'. (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 14; SM-A536E Build/UP1A.231005.007) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/122.0.6261.64 Mobile Safari/537.36 OPX/2.3)
I removed the IP address of course.
Logging in using my local network ip address works just fine. Though I’d prefer not to use that so that I can access HA even while away from home.
Hi everyone - a completely new release is now available as a beta release.
This update introduces a security and climate tab, scene/script support, the ability to switch speakers, and much more (including long press actions, cover tilt, auxiliary heating).
In addition to these features, this update offers significant improvements in stability, performance, and user experience. It also introduces an entirely new look and feel, and even a new name :)!
If you would like to try out the beta, you can use the following links:
In a later update more customalization will be possible, when that update arrives I also plan to add an option to synchronize your settings between devices. A way to remotly change the style of another device is not on the backlog at this time.
In the new (Febriq) beta version it will be way easier to support additional languages, due to how it is now structured. I hope to add additional languages somewhere this summer.
The app looks fantastic. I wanted to try it out today, but every time I successfully log in I get a “No Connection” message and the app tries to reconnect shortly.
I have a Pixel 7a (Android 14) and the latest Home Assistant version 2024.4
So close to perfect. Ovio is amazing but it doesn’t rotate so it only works in portrait orientation on all of my devices which is unfortunate.
Febriq works great in that regard even on small screens but on a handful of my devices it crashes when sliding out the side menu. Opening the app or going back does trigger the menu and when it does I can navigate rooms fine however if I try to reopen the menu by sliding the left side out it will crash.
As a last comment - please bring back the token login in Febriq from Ovio. There are tons of devices that have WebView issues and don’t load the HA login screen in their browser, it’s a weirdly common issue especially in stuff with android 9,10.
just tried it and I love it but it keeps re-connecting. I saw someone with the same issue but I think somehow it got resolved?
My remote URL is my HA Cloud URL.
Thanks!
I see this has turned into a paid app, or is it just the tablet version? That is fair, but is there a way to test how the app works in practise before purchasing? The screenshots on Play Store seemed to indicate the UI is mostly just whitespace (on a tablet at least):
My ideal UI for controlling smart lights would be mode dense, something like my Home Assistant dashboard, but without the weight of all the JavaScript and HTML.
Yes, the mobile app is free and the tablet app is paid. You are correct that there is quite a bit of whitespace on the tablet mode, it is a deliberate design decision. The primary reason being that it helps establishing relations between components that are related.
You can try the tablet mode via here → Ovio to see if it fits you. If you have any other feedback would love to hear it!
