I’ve been using this integration for a few months and its great, I was just wondering are we any closed to getting live data out of the OVO API? I have the .exe that will output the history which it great just wanting to replace the IHD unit they give (as it seems to keep losing signal even though it says its connected on both sides)
@timmo001, I see that your Python package for Ovo has support for half-hourly readings, but the HomeAssistant integration only uses daily readings.
Are you planning to add support for the faster readings? I’m happy to take a stab at a PR as well if you’d like, though I’m new to HA.
Unfortunately, the readings are only for yesterday’s data still so we are limited to only getting readings from last night.
I really wish there was a standard for pulling SMETS 2 smart meter data already like they do in the EU, and not have to buy a 3rd party display which relies on the MQTT protocol. Yes I’m probably just too cheap to spend £60-70, but I feel like there should be a better method in 2025
