I had a cast device auto added by discovery as I run default_config. I have seen numerous blurbs on how to remove this but nothing concrete. What is the best approach as I need to try to add it in a different manner?

Same problem here. I had to reset on Nest Audio device integrated with the Google Cast integration. Now I have it twice in my devices list with now apparent option to remove the old / redundant one:
I read somewhere that I can manipulate the inner storage of home assistant, but before I mess up my system, I’d like to understand if this is the proper way.
