Don’t know if this is useful to anyone but will rely your data from an ecowitt pws to mqtt so it can be consumed by Homeassistant.

Or cross fertilise ideas, if you can suggest ways to make it more efficient, perhaps he will follow you. You don’t need to be disappointed, it is an opportunity to learn from each other
Ha more annoyed i wasted the time reinventing the wheel, not fussed as long as i solve the problem of not relying on pulling from wunderground via the HACS integration…
I may keep mine for a bit of a muck about as its a good excuse to play with golang, but i doubt he’ll follow given his is python and mine is golang.
As @nickrout said, feel free to suggest improvements if you feel so inclined! I’m always open to collaboration. 
already sent a PR for your readme i’m looking at doing a helm chart as well as I use k3s, i’ll submit a PR once it is ready.
