Just to acknowledge that I experience the same behaviour with the plugin. I think Pete is right about it being down to scenes changing the state but equally, I am unsure why the commands then fail.
It’s something I would like to reproduce and debug but I’m a bit strapped for time to do so. Feel free to file an issue on the github repo and as a reminder so I pick it up when time permits.
A higher priority is working out how to either get ownership of the python-rako library on PyPi or to create a new version which the plugin will depend on in future. At the moment I cannot ship updates to the core library and it’s almost certain that if it’s possible to fix the status going out of sync, the fix will be in the core library itself.
