My guess is that you’d need a completely separate automation for this, if your times are going to be different. This would mean having to maintain two separate automations for all of your doors/windows that you wanted to monitor (unless there’s a way to group them).
What is probably easier is just letting Alexa announce at the same time the air conditioner is being turned off, to explain why. Then, you should be able to group the actions into one automation.
I’m looking to do something like this, but I want to have two different kinds of triggers: I want to trigger when the state transitions to a certain value, and then I want recurring triggers, over time, if the state stays that way.
I’m thinking of leak sensors or a contact sensor on my gate, where I’d like a notification when it happens, and then every half-hour that it remains that way. Would that need two different automations, or is there a way to group them?
