re the sensor - it may be you need to add it to the allow list… see this documentation post
Check the sensor and see which folders it is reading. It needs to read the contents of the input_select_files subdirectory, if it doesn’t you may need to try changing the path. It is a bit of trial and error I found - for me, I have to show it as a under the config root directory even though that points to my homeassistant root directory. If you see where the folder points and then change it, hopefully that will work.
