Restoring a snapshot from 32-bit version to a 64-bit version

I am going to change my system from an SD card to an SSD boot. I originally loaded the raspberry pi 4 32-bit version per the getting started recommendations. I would like to change to the 64-bit version so I can use the VS code editor.

My question: Are there any known issues with loading a snapshot created on the 32-bit version onto the 64-bit version?

I believe the GPIO sensors still don’t work on the 64bit version.

I’m running the Rpi4 8Gb 64bit version and I used a 32bit backup to restore it without any problem.

Thanks for the replies. Not using GPIO so I believe I’m good to go.

Exactly what I did a couple of weeks ago. Only a couple of things to e aware of: Your database maybe corrupted on the restore. I use mariadb and stopped it prior to the snapshot and it restored with no issues. I and others had a issues with the os above 5.2. The pi we ould freeze after 10 to 15 hours. Never saw this with the sd. I restored the snapshot then downgraded to 5.2.
