RF door sensor gs-wds07 seems to go to sleep

Hi,

I’m using these great little gs-wds07 RF door sensors with my Sonoff RF bridge (tasmotised). I have one that seems faulty. It’s like it goes to sleep after some time being inactive.

If I give it a tap first it then seems to function normally for a door open/close sequence. Then goes back to sleep.

Anyone seen this kind of behaviour from these sensors?

Just to add that the sensor is effectively useless unless it’s manually woken up before it gets activated.

Hi. there are some faulty ones. You can read this thread, or my last comment there Reliable and cheap door/window sensors

when you give “tap” on it, the faulty reed switch “unsticks” and it works until it sticks together again. Had this issue to 5 switches from ~15.

Thanks that’s great advice. I’ll purchase some replacement reed switches & try a swap out.
