Samsung Smartthings integration for Pulse Hub v2 stopped working a couple of days ago. Worked fine with 6 blinds for a good year or so. Can still control the blinds through the Pulse Hub v2 app. Trying to add the integration in the Samsung Smartthings app yields the following error: Internal Server Error. Couldn’t find anything elsewhere and whether this error is specific to my site or a problem with the Pulse Hub v2 API. Thank you
Why aren’t you going HA -> Pulse 2? Rather than HA -> ST -> Pulse 2
You can actually connect your Pulse Hub v2 using the Homekit integration, rather than Smartthings. This allows for direct connection without using any cloud functionality.
The Homekit integration does have a couple quirks and limitations, though (like no battery reading, and not always reporting “open”/“closed” properly), so we’re working on a real native integration over at Rollease Acmeda Automate Pulse hub integration. It’s currently in review ATM, but I’ve got it installed as a custom component while waiting on getting the integration properly merged into core.
I use Aeon Wallmotes on each window treatment to control them in addition to the automations, but also have several Axis Gear using Zigbee. Basically my home window treatment set up is Z-Wave Aeon Wallmotes on each window treatment, and then the Rollease Acmeda Shades controlled by ST through Pulse Hub V2 and the Axis Grear controlled through Zigbee from the ST.
I have the Rollease shades set up in Homekit allowing me to control them but that renders the Wallmotes useless. I could use physical buttons with Homekit but then I’d have 2 systems controlling window treatments as I can’t control the Axis Gear / Zigbee through Homekit unless there’s a bridge to Homekit for that?!
I’d prefer to use a none cloud solution but so far, to my knowledge, to integrate all of the above into Homekit has not been possible. I also have a ST Somfy gateway for my awnings and that uses Z-Wave as well which would require me to add both a Zigbee and Z-Wave gateway to Homekit. Not sure if that’s available.
