Before I went hass.io on my Raspberry Pi 3 and it was just running Raspbian, I added a real-time clock (DS3231) to it. I loaded hass.io and pretty much love it, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to add the RTC now. I gather I could use Hassbian and accomplish this, but if possible I’d rather be able to do it as it is now. Has anyone found a way to do this?
I woudl like to know too. I want to boy one of this DS3231 if they work
I would like a solution also, because this could help resolve the issue where the Pi hangs on boot if not connected to internet to sync it’s time with NTP servers.
The DS3231 modules for Pi are dead-cheap (1$) and very simple to connect to the GPIO.
Hi
Did you manage to get it working?
I have the same problem in an offline envirement.
Thx!
no, not yet…
I found a possible solution that works for me
Hope you can solve it with this
I’ll try this, thanks!
