Sage Doorbell Sensor and Deconz

Has anyone managed to get this device working with Deconz? https://zigbee.blakadder.com/Echostar_DRBELL.html

This site says it’s compatible but I cannot get it to work. When pairing, I can see it appear in the VNC viewer but it never appears in the Web App (nothing new there as my Ikea Blind doesn’t either and that works fine).

(I think it’s this device anyway)

I quickly checked it, I don’t see it’s mentioned anywhere that it’s compatible with Phoscon (Web app of Deconz). How do you integrate Deconz into HA, through ZHA or the Deconz integration? Do you see the sensor in Home Assistant?

Did check if you see events (Developer Tools → Events → Enter * in listening to events box and press start listening) of the type “deconz_event” when the sensor is triggered?

OK, so maybe I misread the site, it links through as compatible with ZHA (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zha/).

I am using the Deconz integration and Node-Red. Neither can see the sensor.

But after all this, maybe it won’t even work until the handler is ported? Sage Zigbee Doorbell Sensor

Did you check if you receive an event when the sensor triggers?

I see nothing in the logs. But that doesn’t mean I’m checking the right logs.

Go to Developer Tools -> Events -> there’s a box “Listen to events”, enter * in this box and press “START LISTENING”.
Now trigger the doorbell and see if something happens in this “Listen to events” box. If you see something, post it here.

Nope, nothing there, only other devices show.

It probably doesn’t help that Deconz sees it as a dimmer switch.

Then it may not be supported. Here’s a guide on how to make request for a device to be added to deconz.
