I was wondering if anyone knows a way I can edit my samba share so I can see the Open Z-Wave directory. I am trying to add updated files to it and when I try via Samba it doesn’t show the right directory and when I try with sFTP I don’t have the permission with the pi user. Its times like this I wish I knew more about Linux…

I can’t figure out how to remove my post so I’ll post that I think I have a answer on how to change the permissions so the pi user can change the files under the HA config dir. If anyone needs the same help a link is below…

Editing config files on a linux machine

Sounds like you are connecting to the machine as pi and not the homeassistant user. You can fix this in (at least) two ways: Change the settings for the network share, so it connects with the homeassistant account instead of pi. Change the permissions so the pi user can change the files under the HA config dir.
