Sector Alarm

The guy from Sector explained to me a while back that they do like this that if the door is open when you arm then it just bypass this and arm the system knowing the door is open. Meaning essentially the alarm does not care about the door anymore until next time you arm the system.
So I just sent notifications to myself if any door/window was still open so I could then go back and close them (with disarming the alarm first so I can then arm it again with it closed).

I have since changed my alarm but I guess it works same still

Have you considered trying to make it an official integration?

At the moment I would not given I don’t have the alarm anymore and don’t feel I could support it properly if something needs adjusting.

Or more rightfully said I need peers in that case that could support in such case to help development and it’s not for everyone to “lend out your alarm” to some random guy on internet to develop an integration for HA.

Understandable. Maybe I will give it a try then.

Hi guys. Which version (there are som different projects) of the app are you using? I think I started with the default one in HACS. After just having it installed for a couple of weeks I tested it today, but the status is only “Waiting” despite several activations and deactivations today.

Anyone experienced the same and might have s solution?

Hi Im also having the same Issue as Henke22, is there a solution to this ?

Test the latest beta and provide feedback so we then can publish a new version.

I know it’s old but Sector Alarm is very much in use, so

If I get the central and I would like to use other things I already have installed in HA, not SA, is it possible to trigger an alarm to the central with other hardware or does everything have to be Sector Alarm stuff?

Sorry for a late reply but no, that’s not possible unfortunately.
You can’t trigger SA alarm from anything outside of SA.

Is this integration still operational? I’m thinking of switching Verisure to Sector Alarm (live in Sweden), but it’s not necessary if this is not functioning.
