Sensor for GPS location

Hi,

I have a GPS location tracker that sends its location to a location service in the internet. I can access the location using an API and retrieving its location via REST call now. So I could easily create a sensor for it. Now, I want to use the data that I get for location tracking, meaning I want to see it on the map and I want to be notified as soon as its location changes. Is it possible to create a device tracker from that sensor to be able to benefit from the functionality it delivers?

You just create a template device tracker and link the lat/lon values to the device tracker.
Perhaps you need to set the position using an automation.
