I have upgraded to 2021.8.0 and the code still won’t work
Clearly you are doing something consistently different from what I and koying did (because we used the code you posted and it works for us). Unfortunately, neither of us knows what you are doing differently.
As an experiment, remove the regex pattern from the configuration of input_text.pin_eingabe (and them, just for good measure, execute Configuration > Server Controls > Reload Input Texts). Now try to use a Button Card as originally configured:

Everything you explained and provided can be duplicated on another system but without the error. Therefore there is a missing piece to this puzzle; there is something about your system’s configuration, or the way it is using that Button Card, that is different from my system and koying’s. Unfortunately, I can’t think of what that missing clue might be.
Hence my question
