Setup Horstmann SRT321 (HRT4-ZW) thermostat and ASR-ZW boilerswitch

I managed to make it work in both directions.
Sorry im french so you will have to google translate:
Tout d’abord, règle le délai de réveil sur 256 pour pouvoir débugger rapidement.
Ensuite, il faut rajouter le relais qui actionne le radiateur au bon groupe, dans mon cas (zwaveJS UI) il faut aller dans Control Panel/le node SRT321/Groups/

Maintenant quand je change la temperature sur le thermostat virtuel de HA, elle s’applique bien (4mn après) sur le srt321. Voilà

With the weather getting a little colder, i went to try to turn on my heating remotely using HA.

Oddly, 2 weeks ago for no reason the switch became unavailable to HA.
The thermostat still works with the switch though - so this is strange.
I will have to recreate the network etc, so this’ll be ‘fun’!

OK - The reciever needed to be reset (actually the whole network).
The instructions I found in this PDF: https://www.mytub.co.uk/product_images/Horstmann_HRT4ZW_Installation.pdf

  1. Put the thermostat into “install” mode (DIP switch 1)
  2. Turn nob until “P” - press so it comes up “PP”
  3. Turn nob until “E” and press
  4. Press the controller (ASR-ZW) network switch and it should start flashing

^ May need to repeat steps 3 + 4 above (I did).

You’re now in a starting position again (I also turned off Home Assistant so that no other Z-wave network was going).

OK, so something is wrong with home assistant for some reason… It’s become “worse” at recognising the HRT4, ASR-ZW controller.
First off it didn’t recognise the model etc (until I did a re-interview).
Secondly, when I press the binary switch in the Z-wave GUI to be on, the device is reported as “dead”… Doesn’t respond to pings, doesn’t allow re-interview etc. When it’s switched “off” again it >does< respond to pings + interviews.

I didn’t have the device going “dead” on me before.
This must be some change somewhere which has screwed with this… Massively sad that it’s essentially only half working now.

EDIT … OK, I guess the Z-wave stick is not in the best location… I moved it a few cm to one direction and it’s now getting a much better signal and the pings and switch responses are coming through much better now.

Sorry to blame the wrong thing.
