Got it all sorted now. I could upload the new released fix by Marcel Zuidwijk via de local IP given by the router and upload the file. Slimmelezer came back to life.
There is still one odd thing and that is that Gas is not registered by Home-Assistant yet.
The slimmelezer or ESPHome is showing the gas consumption in the logsā¦and I can pick the āGas Consumedā source, but no data is shown.
You should use the bin-file, when you use the zip-file youāll get an error (made that mistake myself).
I got mine working by doing the following:
- Navigate to https://www.zuidwijk.com/product/slimmelezer/ and download the latest firmware (Latest Firmware SlimmeLezer (2021.8.2) with state_class fix at the moment).
- Unzip the file so youāre able to access the .bin-file inside the zip-file.
- Navigate to the local IP of your SlimmeLezer in your browser
- Select the previously unzipped .bin-file under āOTA Updateā
- Click āUpdateā
- After a while you should be redirected to a page stating the update was successful.
- Reconfigure SlimmeLezer so itās able to connect to your network (like you did initially).
The explanation of Xilion was the solution for meā¦information about Gas Consumption is working now as well! Thank you!
Iām not familiar with connecting the SlimmeLezer using a wire, I used the WiFi option for that.
Maybe try disconnecting the SlimmeLezer and after a few seconds reconnecting it?
Iām afraid I canāt help you any further than maybe try to contact Marcel Zuidwijk over at https://www.zuidwijk.com/.
I had a similar experience, but it took about 15-20 minutes before the āslimmemeterā wifi signal returned. Perhaps patience helps
Xillion made my day.
got it working again with state class etcā¦
Thanks.
See (read) you all again here after the next UPgrade.
My zen meditation course paid off - calm down, calm down.
Tomorrow is another day.
Hi,
I really donāt get it anymore, I tried to flash the latest firmware (both of them), flashing worked without an issue but still I receive an āno matching statistics foundā and this is a very fresh installation, nothing else is installed. I tried to add state_class: total_increasing
to the esphome.json, but no luck so far.
Thank you for your help!
Richard
