The issue I see is I have Brilliant Smart wall controllers https://www.brilliantlighting.com.au/product/smart-wifi-ac-fan-wall-controller-e07a97 and HA shows no speeds available? I do see two preset modes Sleep & Nature but why wouldn’t the HA show speeds for a ceiling fan? The Smart Life app shows the speeds so I run my ceiling fans outside of HA which is annoying.
Do you have the light as well ?
I can get my Fan working in tuyalocal, but not the light
How do you have it mapped if you have the light as well
I’m definitely very late here but thank you heaps! This gives me a lot to work with.
…Wonder if I could modify his design to work via Ethernet without botching it too badly…
(Another very late post I’m sorry)… I took a bit of a risk and put 5 of the recently released Clipsal Wiser Zigbee fan controllers in to drive my existing fans, and they work great with HA via a SkyConnect dongle.
Just looking at these now. They look great! Any idea if they are compatible with Zigbee2mqtt?
Look very interesting Thank You
I have 2 of these and got them to work now, let me know if you still need help? @Trial_Master
Thanks, that post was from Oct 22. I replaced all the ceiling fans with BAF and all functions are seen in HA.
Worked for me with 48" SkyFan (with light) and this module. Can control fan speed and light.
Has anyone purchased this guy’s Skyfan wifi modules? I sent him a couple of emails with questions but haven’t seen a response. Doesn’t inspire confidence…
Haven’t bought one, but everything to build one DIY is on his GitHub, including files for a 3D printed case.
Pity to hear he’s not responding. Hopefully just a holidays thing
I purched 2 about 2 months ago with no issues at all.
I also emailed him (in regards to stock) but got no response. Decided to purchase a couple (already bought one a year earlier) and even though it says ‘backorder’, they arrived within a week.
No issues at all with them. Work as expected with both light and non-light versions.
I ended up buying four as well, they work great. Never heard back from the creator
I sent him a follow up, maybe someone here can help? I want to attach an I2C sensor to the expansion port. But I’m not sure what each connection is for. How can I tell?
I have just installed a few Calibo Cloudfans. Quite happy with them. They have tuya integration built-in
So they are installed and I have added them to the tuya app and they are working fine.
I have added the tuya integration in HA and it has added all my fans but…
In HA there is no way to control the fan speed. The action to set speed is not supported. How can I fix this?
