I’ve bought this smart plug hoping to install Tasmota on it through TuyaConvert.
Today it arrived and after trying several times I discovered that there is an issue with it, and it can’t be converted (for now) link.
I’m looking for ideas to use this power plug without using the Tuya Cloud. Or who knows alternative (cheap) devices that still can run tasmota? Also I’m more interested in a device that measures the used power then the ability to switch on/off.

Hi Cadster, thanks for the quick reaction. I’ve looked into it, although it is not the most clearly documented custom component, I managed to add the socket using the config flow (method 2). However the current and voltage values are not updated inmediately. Sometimes it takes minutes to refresh the values. Is there a way to poll more often?
