Hey,

What’s the rest of the config? Also, try to increase your collection speed.
I am also using a weather station for all the values (except Evapotranspiration). And frequency of data collection is 10 minutes… The problem is, as you have suggested i have disabled the Solrad behaviour (Do not estimate), and forecast days are set to 0. So with this settings, i am only using my Weather Station data.
And there, probably because of the bug you meantioned earlier (about the solar radiation) my calculations are based mainly on “rain”. So i can really skip this integration and look directly to my weather station data.
The most important part of this integration for me was the merging weather station and forecast data, both of which are buggy in my view.
Feel free to give a proposal on how to improve.
If one can afford it, I really think having a weather station that delivers ET is the best solution. no need to rely on external services, neither collect data continuously. no need either to have multiple calculated adjustments time, one is enough, all others can be derived from this one. I use irrigation unlimited to drive all sprinklers and define watering sequences, and this extension solely to adjust watering time. See here
I checked all the sensors and they seem to be correct. E.g. that the daily rain sensor uses the max value vs all the other sensors use average setting. Data from Openweather Map is collected every hour and calculation happens at 23:00 and data is deleted at 23:59.
Solar radiation is set to estimate from sun hours and forecast set to 3 days.
There is one zone and one sensor group only.
Last night I updated to version 2024.7.5 - this morning I noticed that it did not calculate yesterday’s weather data; the bucket size did not increase with any of my zones. (we had 35+ degrees, 0 mm rainfall) You see the clear pattern for the previous days on the history graph
Since I do have OWM data, I did not opt for continuous sensor updates.
Did anybody face this issue?
Yes, seems it happened to me as well. No change in the bucket over last night. But it was a cloudy day with a little rain. So, there is a little chance that it is correct.
Difference is that I have the “continuous sensor updates” enabled.
Did it collect the data but not calculate or both? You can see that in the UI on the zone page. It shows last updated and last calculated time per zone.
Continuous sensor is experimental so there is a bigger chance of bugs there. Is there anything in the logs worth sharing?
I am not sure - it is set to automatically calculate all zones at 23:55 each day and to clear weather data at 23:59.
When I checked in the morning it looked like it already cleared the weather data form the previous day. (the number of data points collected were low)
If I had to pick one I would say it probably did collect the data, cleared the datapoints at 23:59 but for some reason did not calculate the zones.
For me it states the following:
Last calculated: 2024-07-13 23:00:00
Data last updated: 2024-07-14 18:44:45
Number of data points: 533
So it looks like it reads data and did the calculation yesterday night.
my zone calculation also doesn’t work anymore (2024.7.5)

OK, that’s already a great insight, thanks! Can you check the logs for anything?
So then, it works, right?
As responded there as well: this was already fixed. Install, clear browser cache and reboot.
for me it’s not fixed
already on latest version, broser-cache cleared, also tried with different browser!?
i have no idea but it seems, that weather data is missing!?
i’m sorry - forgot to mention that i’m using openweathermap, NOT the pirateWeather!
found the reason:
after update to 2024.7.4 i was asked to configure my weather service again (enter api key etc) - few days later i updated to 2024.7.5
today i checked the config of openweathermap and found it like this:
after selection “weather service” on the various points it’s working again.
Looks like my issue is similar to what gyle mentioned above
The default sensor group seems to have been “reset” for some reason after the upgrade:
The problem is that I cannot select “Weather service”
Even though OWM is configured otherwise properly:
I did the upgrade to 7.4 and then to 7.5 immediately so I was not asked to reconfigure my weather service…
if my home weather station doesn’t have an evapotranspiration sensor - do you know of a source of HACS integration or something to get it? i realize there’s a calculator for it but it seems like its a dynamic value based on the calendar date
