Step 2: As at June 2024, the SmartThings app (on Android at least) says “Routines” and not “Automations”.
Last step: Instead of restarting Home Assistant, you can go to Settings → Devices and Services, then select the Smart Things service, hit the menu icon and select “Reload”. This will reload the Integration with the new token information.
Sometimes the Smartthings Android app throws weird errors trying to ‘reconfigure’ the smartthings routine/integration. If you get the error: “No network connection Couldn’t find any available networks” then try accessing Smartthings via your browser and attempting to ‘reconfigure’ the Home Assistant integration from there. You can access it via: Samsung account
Yes - this did it for me. The app was throwing an error with the Home Assistant integration, but it worked exactly as described when I followed your link and revalidated in SmartThings via the web browser. THANK YOU!
