Still no joy for me on the sensors since doing those exact steps.
I had trouble getting the Smarthings integration working at first. There was an issue with validation on the url generated where I had to delete a theme parameter and then the link validated and now it works fine. I learned learned about the fix on github. Might get you running again. More info here https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/40771#ref-issue-632173576
Thanks, I ran into that initially getting to the new version but that doesn’t appear to be the issue now, the integration loads up fine and finds everything I just never get any sensor updates other than when HA is restarted. I can control stuff fine though.
I migrated to the new smarthings app and am just using the token with no smart app so can at least confirm it does work. I’m not using nabu casa though and have an ssl proxy with duckdns, which looks like the only difference from yours. Nabu casa is supposed to make it easier though. When you got the smartthings token, did you only check the things listed
- Devices (all)
- Installed Applications (all)
- Apps (all)
- Locations (all)
- Scenes (all)
- Schedules (all
And nothing else extra? Its weird that it lists the devices and allows control, but won’t update. The web hooks must not be getting through. Anything else weird in your logs? Any issues with other integrations not updating? If all else fails you should be able to open an issue on Github.
I had the exact same issue. It was solved after turning the Smart Things Hub off and on manually.
I’m on the latest ST firmware and everything is working fine so far. I’ve moved to the new ST app for android but haven’t touched anything on the integration.
I set it up in exactly the same way as I did when it was working, I’ve checked the logs and all that. I agree, very weird that it would allow control and even weirder it seems to update fine once when I restart HA. Other integrations are fine. I may ask Nabu Casa if there are any logs on their end for the web hooks to see if ST is calling and it’s not being relayed or is there no call from ST. Thanks for your help.
I tried last night hard resetting it after reading your reply and unfortunately 20+ hrs later still no joy. Thank you though for the information that you are on the new app, this way I can at least know it should work.
I have exactly the same problem. I don’t use Nabu Casa. After reloading the integration the sensors are updated, but not automatically…
This just happened to me yesterday… Home assistant and Smartthings has been working fine for almost 2 years.
120 smartthings devices… 198 entities. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Sorry for reviving an old thread but I’m seeing the same behavior with Home Assistant dashboard device status for all Smartthings devices not updating but still working for control, however 've noticed that if I restart my Home Assistant server, my Smartthings device statuses are correctly updated but only on the reboot.
I get the feeling that Home Assistant has everything it needs to update 3rd party devices but it’s just not reaching out when it should. It reaches out when I restart HA server and gets the correct data but not when third party devices are controled from outside HA.
Same issue here, anyone have a solution? sensors not much use otherwise.
Solution here seems to be working at the moment
Glad you got it working, this worked for me if you have more issues. Basically Home Assistant needed the correct “callback url” or external url in it’s config yaml.
Anyone still having the issue? I checked the callback URL which is working fine but still I am only getting updates when I reload the config or HA.
