This may be a silly question, but does Home Assistant OS (Running on an Intel NUC) support locally connected speakers for media player support? If so, how is this done? I’ve tried both a 3.5mm speaker as well as USB and I cannot get it to be recognized. Thoughts?
Hi!
Don’t know about NUC, got it running on the Pie. But should be pretty much the same. Maybe this will help you: [SOLVED] How to play sounds through a 3.5mm audio jack
Thanks, but what I’m trying to do is have my HassOS installation via Intel NUC recognized as a media player as it has a physically connected speaker (via 3.5mm or USB) not necessarily play local media files via ffplay. Not sure why there’s no addon for MPD or similar that would detect locally connected speakers.

Any thoughts on how to get sound out of my NUC configured HassOS? There has to be a local solution out there.
