Standalone Zigbee Router

The form factor of the device you reference, if it is from the same manufacture, is really different than the one I have here in USA, I wonder if that could be a factor.

3rd Reality product I am referring to (link below). Company web site link below that.

I hear your frustration! Hard to understand where your problem is at. You might try a Hue or Ikea plug (if you can be sure that you can return them if no better) and see if they yield different results.

That said, it sure seems like you have some issue that is not surfacing itself.

Good hunting!

As what plug-types are they exactly being detected by Z2M?

There are two versions i have personal experiences with:

I have a couple of those smart plugs (both versions, bought at AE and white-labeled as "Girier”).

While the TS011F_plug_1 is working kind of OK the TS011F_plug_3 is simply trash loosing connection often and their routing is simply weird.

In my opinion and based on my own experience those _plug_3’s are unusable within a Zigbee network but can be used as paperweights at best!

I haven’t set up matter yet, no, but really looking forward to it! It’s still kinda out of reach, so haven’t put much effort into research.

Feel free to post your devices! I need plugs, motion sensors, Temperature, vibration. No bulbs.

Would be nice to hear what types of other devices you have!

Bro, that is disgusting to hear! What the f?

I am using ZHA, and it’s not showing the exact version. I’ll add two screenshots (basically the same for the two plugs I’m currently using, and which works for two days already)

I guess I’ll get some ikea plugs? Or any other suggestions for cheap and small plugs? I mean, the tradfri is reeeeally ugly and huge. The Hue is at 32€ :sob::cry:

That’s the US version. I googled for third reality EU smart plug and found these

THIRDREALITY Zigbee Smart Steckdose 4 Stücke,16 A Smart Outlet,Zigbee Repeater,CE-zertifiziert, ZigBee Hub erforderlich,funktioniert mit Home Assistant,Homey,kompatiblen Echo-Geräten und SmartThings https://amzn.eu/d/3BAqYiO

They look like the ones that I already have

I’m sure they are. Those TS011F-plugs are whitelabeled by many brands. So better keep your hands off of these.

The plugs in your Technikraum and in your Keller are showing the exact same values for LQI and RSSI

Anyway, as routers and with power monitoring I use THESE. They are cheap, playing well as routers with Z2M and they are invisible. But you have to make sure your in-wall boxes (UP-Dosen) are deep enough to accommodate them behind the wall sockets (you in-wall-boxes should be min. 50 mm in depth).

Mind including which dongle you have directly in the OP? It would help others coming to this thread for the first time

Done that, mate!

That’s interesting. I could have routers all over the house without them showing on the surface.

I already talked to my electrician and he said he was not sure where they included deep in-wall boxes, and I’m not keen on opening the the outlets myself to check :see_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Correct. With power monitoring which comes in handy if you want to track power usage of devices within HA.

The in-wall boxes should be at least 50mm in depth if you have standard wall sockets. The relays measure 18mm in depth.

Better don’t do that if you are not familiar with this kind of things. Mind the risk of electrical hazards! :warning:

I don’t know… I bought some more expensive mains and the problem remains.

No connection between these two mains in the image below. It works at first, but they eventually lose connection after a few days and connection never returns.
