Why are you turning automations on and off.
That is definitely an unpredictable way to do things.
Use the triggers and conditions.
Automations should be triggered, run and end because scripts and automations that are ‘running’ for long periods of time are often interrupted by things like HA restart, updates, and other normal happenings.
